Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI)

JNDI is a an API used by Java programs  to access existing names or directory services.
In weblogic server , JNDI serves as a repository and look up service for Java EE objects including:
- EJB home stubs
- JDBC datasources
- JMS connection factories, Queues and topics
- RMI stubs
